Wildlife Removal in San Francisco
Raccoons, skunks, opossums, squirrels, birds and gophers. When something bigger than a rat moves in, the job is the same: find the way in, get the animal out, and close the opening behind it.
The way in matters more than the animal
Most calls about an animal in the house start with a noise: something moving under the floor at dusk, or in the attic at night. Raccoons in a crawl space, a skunk denning under a deck, opossums under the house, squirrels or birds in the attic, gophers working through a yard. Whatever the animal turns out to be, the reason it is there is the same as a rat’s. A San Francisco house offers a dry, sheltered space under the floor or behind a vent, and something found a way in.
So the work runs in the same order. We inspect the building, work out where the animal is getting in and what it is using the space for, get it out, and then seal the opening with material that holds. Skipping the sealing step is how the same crawl space gets a new tenant the following season.
Tell us what you are hearing and where when you call. If it turns out to be something we are not the right people for, we will say so and point you to who is, rather than starting a job we cannot finish properly.
FAQ
Wildlife Removal questions
What should I do first if I hear something in the attic or under the house?
Note when you hear it and where. Nocturnal noise that moves along a wall, daytime scratching over one room, a smell in one corner: all of that narrows down what it is and where it is getting in, which is the first thing we check for.
Do you use poison or lethal traps for wildlife?
No poison, for wildlife the same as for rodents. Poisoned animals die inside walls and crawl spaces, and the bait travels up the food chain to pets, owls and hawks.
What happens after the animal is gone?
The opening gets sealed, because an empty crawl space with an open entry point is simply a vacancy. We also clean up droppings and nesting and repair the damage, the same as after a rodent job.
How do I know the animal is out before you seal?
We confirm the space is empty before closing it up. Sealing an animal inside is both inhumane and a much worse problem than the one you called about.
